Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge Announces Interactive Classes for May and June

LAS VEGAS (April 29, 2014) – Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge at Town Square, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South, announces its upcoming interactive classes, including a champagne and cheese pairing class in May and a whiskey and BBQ pairing in June.


To celebrate the new champagne splits Double Helix is offering in May, the class on May 20 will demonstrate how to pair popular champagnes with cheeses. “Students” will be instructed by a master sommelier from Southern Wine & Spirits.
Champagnes for the class include:
  • Mionetto Moscato Dolce
  • Freixenet Cava Brut Blanc de Blanc
  • Moreno “Beverly Hills-Las Vegas” Brut
  • Domaine Chandon Brut Rose
Cheeses include:
  • Herb Goat Cheese
  • Brillat-Savarin
  • Drunken Goat
  • Manchego
  • Truffle Boschetto
  • Five Year Aged Gouda

As a tribute to the start of summer, the June 17 class will feature Double Helix’s exclusive Jack Daniels blend along with other selections from Jack Daniels. The exclusive blend was chosen by Owner Ray Nisi who recently traveled to the Jack Daniels distillery in Tennessee to work with its master distiller and pick the blend that best matched the Double Helix consumers. Chef Doug Vega will create signature BBQ dishes to taste and the class will learn how to effectively pair them with whiskey.

Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge hosts interactive classes on the third Tuesday of every month. Reservations are required by calling 702.735.9463. Space is extremely limited. Classes begin at 7 p.m. and cost $30 per person. Guests will also receive some of Double Helix’s signature Arancini.
