Market City Caffe Unveils Special Menu for the Holidays

Enjoy the tastes of winter season

BURBANK, CALIF. (Dec. 3, 2014) – Market City Caffe (164 E. Palm Ave) celebrates the holiday season with a unique menu filled with dishes and specials fitting this marvelous time of the year available now through Dec. 24.
Seasonal winter beer AleSmith and Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale is available on draft as well as libations to warm the winter chill including Merry Cherry Cosmo with Three Olives Cherry, White Winter with Stoli Vanli vodka, amaretto and cream and Maple Old Fashioned with Woodford Reserve Bourbon.
Soup and salad highlights include roasted chestnut soup with purée of chestnuts, celery, onions, leeks, cream, chicken stock, butter and finished with sherry vinegar; and roasted beef salad marinated red and yellow beets, persimmons, arugula, smoked goat cheese and lemon-basil vinaigrette.
Renowned for its time traditional pasta and ravioli dishes, Market City Caffe is serving seasonal favorites including lobster linguine with slow roasted Roma tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, spinach, basil and pomodoro sauce; hand rolled pumpkin ravioli with shallot sauce; braised chicken cannelloni topped with provolone cheese, sliced prosciutto and sage-white wine butter sauce; and stuffed pasta shells with wild mushrooms, spinach, mozzarella, truffle oil, ricotta, parmesan cheese and tomato cream.
Specialties includeporcini crusted pork tenderloin over butternut squash polenta, lemon dressed asparagus and winter radish with sherry cream sauce; pomegranate glazed salmon seared Brussels sprouts, baby carrots, roasted potatoes and spinach; and osso bucco with garlic mashed potatoes, balsamic vinegar and wine reduction.
“Dolci” or dessert selections include ricotta cheesecake with salted graham cracker crust topped with a raspberry-caramel rum sauce; and fig and pumpkin tiramisu with mascarpone cheese, ginger snaps, dried figs, espresso, molasses and brandy.
