Head of Social Media/Senior Social Media Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE AND POSITION SUMMARY

OneSeven Agency is a growing integrated marketing agency based in Las Vegas with a presence in Los Angeles, Los Cabos, San Diego, Denver, Salt Lake City, and more. Client industries include food & beverage, restaurants, hospitality, entertainment, beauty, fashion, jewelry, hotels, casino, legal, consumer lifestyle and non-profits. We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our team.

 

The Senior Social Media Manager is responsible for managing the strategy and implementation for multiple  social media clients. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can guide a team of social media professionals. They would have a creative mindset with a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. The successful candidate will develop and maintain platforms such as, but not limited to Instagram, Meta, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, Linkedin, and YouTube. This candidate will have a demonstrated history of working in a fast-paced environment while delivering multiple projects on schedule, on budget, and with no errors.

 

Other duties include taking initiative, helping coworkers on projects, and following up on assignments (both with team members and clients) by notifying the appropriate people when action items are complete. The position assists in building, implementing, managing and reporting on comprehensive social media strategies that align with the overall PR/marketing strategies for OneSeven Agency clients while having fun!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

In addition to the general requirements listed above, other responsibilities assigned on varying frequencies will include but not be limited to:

 

  • Social Media Strategy: 
    • Create, and drive social media strategy through close collaboration with other members of the social media team and PR team to align with client objectives, PR, and marketing plans. 
    • Set and achieve both short-term and long-term campaign goals and KPIs.
    • Create and maintain social media content calendars for various platforms and multiple clients. 
    • Identify and analyze social media trends, competitor activities and industry best practices.
    • Edit and review social media content from other members of the social media team to ensure consistency, correct branding and grammar. 
  • Content Creation:
    • Generate, edit, publish and share creative content to engage the brand’s target markets. 
    • Collaborate with Content Creation Team to create visually appealing, engaging, and trending content.
    • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent brand voice.
  • Social Media Advertising: 
    •  Understand how to develop and implement social media advertising campaigns (Meta Business Suite Experience) for advanced strategy and oversee team members who handle this day-to-day.
    • Create recaps of social media advertising content, understanding the results at a high-level, but able to communicate them back to a non-technical client. 
    • Manage social media budgets and allocate resources effectively for optimal ROI.
  • Influencer Relations: 
    • Work with public relations team to create and maintain local, regional, and national influencer relations that align with each brand
  • Community Management: 
    • Monitor social media channels and promptly respond to DMs, comments, and mentions.
    • Foster meaningful conversations, answer inquiries, and address customer concerns.
    • Moderate user-generated content to ensure compliance with community guidelines.
    • Identify opportunities for engagement, user-generated content, and influencer partnerships.
  • Analytics and Trends:
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging social media tools and technologies.
    • Track and analyze social media metrics and KPIs using various analytics tools.
    • Update and maintain hashtag lists. 

 

Agency Support 

  • Takes ownership of and oversees agency social media channels in how it relates to marketing the agency as a whole. 
  • Completes social media department’s operational requirements by delegating clearly to employees and following up on work results. 
  • Helps to develop social media department staff. 
  • General office duties include assisting in answering phones, maintaining office cleanliness.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

Events

  • Updating internal agency calendars 
  • Assisting and supporting team from ideation, coordination, execution, reporting 
  • Attending influencer dines, photo shoots and other events, when relevant 
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related major, along with an internship. 
  • 4+ years proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Social Media Specialist or similar role in an integrated marketing agency or relevant industry. 
  • 2+ years experience of social media advertising. Meta Blueprint Certifications not required but preferred. 
  • Excellent knowledge of major social media platforms, including Meta, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple clients and team members in a fast-paced environment, while prioritizing effectively. 
  • Experience preferred but not required with key technology, including, but not limited to social media publishing and monitoring applications (Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Upfluence, or similar) Design Programs systems (Canva, Adobe) and Social Media Advertising Programs (Meta Business Suite).

Creative Content Internship

We specialize in creating and executing comprehensive campaigns for restaurants, chef talent, hospitality, luxury real-estate, health & wellness, beauty, retail, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, entertainment, attractions, events and consumer lifestyle brands. 

 

We’re hiring a select group of students and recent graduates, to be Content Creation Interns. This internship will help you navigate agency life and learn more about the different facets our team has to offer including photo, video, graphics, email marketing, etc. This is an in-person internship that allows you to explore agency culture over the course of 6-8 weeks. We understand some schools have set requirements to fulfill course credit, and we are willing to work with those requirements.

 

Now offering the following internship sessions:

Fall 2023: September 11-November 30

Winter/Spring 2024: January 22-April 5

 

OneSeven Agency is fully committed to creating an effective and meaningful internship program for both the intern as well as the organization. In order to reach this desired result, the intern will explore all departments of the agency including: public relations, social media, influencer marketing, graphic design, events/partnerships, and video and photography. 

 

During your Content Creation Internship, you may:

  • Help distribute marketing materials and creative media, contribute feedback, trend identification, and new ideas for marketing strategy and tactics
  • Contribute to tactical brainstorms to help inspire the team with new ideas.
  • Anything else that may interest you. We wear many hats and are intentional in finding opportunities to develop our team members!

 

Requirements: 

  • Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a college or university OR have graduated from a college or university within the last 2 years. 
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Eagerness to learn and work with various departments in the company
  • Interest in videography, photography, graphic design and creating social content.
  • The ability to problem solve by asking questions to get to the root of a problem
  • Excitement in learning! This internship as an opportunity to get your foot in the door, and build long lasting relationships and skills
  • Classes in journalism, communications, graphic design, social media development, and/or video and photo editing.  
  • Understanding of the social media platforms Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.
  • Experience creating written, visual and/or video content for online marketing purposes and have demonstrated writing, proofreading and research skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc), iMovie and WordPress is highly encouraged.  
  • Creative, detail-oriented, punctual, flexible, possess an interest in marketing, excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently to complete projects in a timely fashion.  
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email, internet research and Microsoft Office.
