Hundreds of Las Vegas Community Volunteers, Las Vegas Sands Team Members to Build 100,000 Hygiene Kits for Disaster Victims in Nevada, throughout the U.S. The Sept. 20-21 effort is the most ambitious hygiene kit build ever by international nonprofit Clean the World

As part of National Preparedness Month, hundreds of Las Vegas community members will join Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE: LVS) and international nonprofit Clean the World this weekend (Sept. 20-21) to build 100,000 ONE Project hygiene kits – the  most hygiene kits ever built at one time by Clean the World. Kits will be distributed through the American Red Cross for disaster relief efforts in the Las Vegas area, as well as for major disasters in the U.S.

Media are invited to experience this mass community effort to prepare for disasters and interview representatives from Clean the World, the American Red Cross and Las Vegas Sands about this critical effort.

LVS has partnered with Clean the World since 2011, successfully diverting more than 50 tons of waste from LVS properties that has resulted in more than 550,000 bars of recycled soap. LVS’ underwriting and sponsorship of the September disaster relief community build is part of a $1 million commitment to Clean the World in 2014. The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters and will be using the 100,000 hygiene kits toprovide emergency relief to disaster victims in the Las Vegas region and nationwide.
